Hi folks,

Hard to believe it's Graduation Week here at Eastern! We're about to send another graduating class out into the world to continue their educations, or to find a job. It's always hard to think we won't be seeing them around here anymore, except on rare occasions when they might come back to visit friends or for Homecoming. I hope they all know, we wish them all the very best in life and hope they make the most of the opportunities they've been given, and continue their education so that they can have a happy, productive future for themselves and their families. We will miss you, graduates!

EOSC Radio is sponsoring a musical event on campus this evening in the Johnnie Wray Theatre. There will be a rock concert featuring two special bands, A Beautiful End from McAlester, and Hollywood Uprising of OKC. Admission is free, but all donations will go to searching for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Tuesday afternoon at 3:10, Pat Ratliff's Zoology students will present the results from this semester's research projects. What a great way to learn more about the class and what it offers! And there will be cookies! Pat and her students invite you to come by for an interesting, informative, educational and tasty presentation.

Student activities for the week include Kickball at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday on the big field next to Miller dormitory, Wed. at 6 p.m. there will be cards and dominoes in the Student Center commons area, and

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week to Anne Hester Brooks, director of McAlester campus, who celebrates her big day today, (and is probably still worn out from little Amelia's birthday last Thursday), and Christy Stanfield of our Nursing Dept., also of the McAlester campus, who will celebrate her birthday on Tuesday. And last but not least, our new Cafeteria Manager, Tina Scott will celebrate her birthday this coming Sunday, May 11, on Mother's Day. I hope all you great gals have a wonderful celebration!
