[Eoscstudents] Tomorrow's Hope Art Contest

Students, Staff, and Faculty,
 
Eastern Oklahoma State College and The Choctaw Nation have partnered for Tomorrow’s Hope, a suicide prevention and education program.  The EOSC Student Life Department has launched the “I am Remarkable” campaign to help bring awareness to the problem of suicide in our nation.  On May the 3rd at 2:00 in the Student Center Cafeteria, the PASS and Criminal J.O.E.S clubs will host an art contest for students with prizes for first, second, and third place.  You could win up to $100.00!  
 
Student can use drawn, painted, collage, or sculpture as art media forms and are asked to use no biological items which could spoil or any live features.  Students are also asked to keep their projects to a simple size requirement of no larger than 4ft x 4ft x 4ft.  The theme for the projects should attempt to incorporate Tomorrow’s Hope and/or the “I am remarkable” campaign. (See Attached Images)
 
In addition to the art contest we will, in the weeks to come, host a course for students willing to serve as suicide prevention monitors in addition to giving away t-shirts and other prizes to bring additional awareness to this problem.  Additional speakers and events will be announced as those dates become available.  Thank you for your attention and please do your part to spread the word that we are, each and every one of us, remarkable individuals.
