Hi folks,

 

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  (Loosely translated that means it's Anne Hester
Brooks' birthday.)  Enjoy yourself, Anne!

 

If you like plants, today is the day to visit the EOSC greenhouse from 10 to
2 to see what they've got for sale for Mother's Day, or just in general.
For as little as $1 you can get a new plant to bring joy to your life, more
oxygen to your air, and possibly food to your table, (but I'm sure they
won't mind if you spend more than that).  

 

Also today, at 2:00 in Mitchell Auditorium, EOSC Alumni Dr. Dan Denny,
(campus Chief of Police, Bryan Denny's father) will be speaking on the
subject of suicide awareness and prevention.  This could prove to be
lifesaving information for you, or a friend, acquaintance, or family member,
as you never know when life will deal you a devastating blow, or sometimes
several in a row, that make you feel you have nothing left to live for.   

 

At noon today, the Science and Math Club students and sponsors will be
having their end of the year graduation party for their members who have
successfully survived two years in what I think could be some of the hardest
classes on campus.  Congratulations to all of them!

 

Our Lunch menu for today includes:

Popcorn chicken casserole, hard shell tacos, German potato salad with roast
beef, Lima beans with ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash, mixed
vegetables.  Pizza, burgers, subs, waffles.  Dessert:  Chocolate brownies
with peanut butter frosting.
