[Eoscstudents] Performing Arts Series Schedule

Dear Eastern Students, Faculty, and Staff:

Country music duo Alaska & Madi, from season six of NBC's "The Voice," are
coming to town this week! After being interviewed on Mountaineer Radio on
Friday, January 27, they will conduct a songwriting workshop and perform a
concert on Saturday, January 28. Proceeds from the concert will benefit
student scholarships. The schedule is as follows:

*Alaska & Madi on Mountaineer Radio*:
Alaska & Madi will be live on the air around 4 p.m. on Friday, January 27
on "The Mix" 93.1 FM. We will also be giving away some free tickets this
week in anticipation of their arrival, so be sure to tune in all week!

*Songwriting workshop*:
The workshop will take place in the Johnnie Wray Theatre in Pratt Hall at
11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28. Admission is $10 (cash only please). The
duo will cover basic song structure and even write a brand new song during
the workshop! Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend.

*Concert*:
The concert begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 28 in the ballroom of the
E.E. Tourtellotte Student Center. Tickets start at just $25 and can be paid
in person at the concert or online at alaskaandmadi.eventbrite.com. An
appetizer bar is included with all ticket purchases. The Eastern
Expressions and the Oklahoma Kids will open for Alaska & Madi. *Up to two
children under the age of 6 may attend the concert for free with each paid
ticket.*
