[Eoscstudents] Phi Theta Kappa - Voter Registration Drive Sept 21st - October 1st - Cash Prizes included

The Phi Theta Kappa Honor students at Eastern are promoting an event which
is normally a contest for Eastern against all other Universities and
Colleges in the State of Oklahoma. Due to Covid, the contest is suspended
this year. But, PTK still wants to help all Eastern students to be
registered to vote and become civically engaged this election cycle. October
9th is the deadline to register in Oklahoma to be able to vote in the
November 3rd election. 

Eastern has won this award for 10 years in a row beating out all other
Universities and Colleges in the State of Oklahoma (yes that includes OU,
TU, OSU, etc.. ). We are sad we can't compete, but still want to help our
students with this special community service event. 

We would appreciate your help and here is how you can do this:

*        If you are not a registered voter, you can sign a  registration
form  

*        If you are a registered voter but need to change your address,  you
can fill out a registration card to update 

*        If you are a registered voter but need to change your name, you can
fill out a registration card to update If you are a registered voter but
would like to change your party affiliation, you can fill out a registration
card to update

 There are cash prizes that will be drawn for at the end (Oct 1st) .  1st
place will be $50 cash, 2nd place will be $30 cash, and 3rd place will be
$20 cash.

 How can you get your name in to win?:

*    You can put in your name for the drawing if you fill out a registration
form

*    If you encourage and have someone to fill out a form, you and that
person both can put your name in the drawing. (Forms completed in classes
with Instructors a ticket for you will be placed in the hopper for the
drawing.)

Where can you sign a registration form?

*	PTK Officers will be hosting a number of special events during the
entire week

*	Monday, September 21st  a browse table during the scheduled campus
event at the Amphitheater outdoor BBQ  6 - 8 p.m.
*	Wednesday, September 23rd  PTK will provide all ingredients for
SMORES and an outdoor fire pit to roast your marshmallows. 6 - 8 p.m.
Information and registrations forms available to fill out

*	Instructors will have forms in all classes for you to complete if
you are a commuter. 
*	Forms will be available in all buildings with Administrative
Assistants
*	Last day to complete a form that can be counted in the contest -
October 1st
*	We will provide forms for any state, just ask and a form will be
provided
