[Eoscstudents] Financial Aid for 2021-22

Students:

If you have not yet filled out or completed verification for your 2021-22
FAFSA, you still have a few weeks before classes begin.  You can fill out
the FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov.  If you need to complete the verification,
go to the verifying financial aid link on Eastern's website.  Remember, the
FAFSA must be completed every academic year and does not carry over from
last year.  It will take 7-10 days for us to receive confirmation that you
have completed the FAFSA.


   - If you still need to get enrolled for fall, contact your advisor to
   get enrolled.


   - If you want to apply for a student loan, you will need to complete
   the promissory note and entrance counseling online, and complete the Direct
   Loan form for Active Confirmation and return it to the Financial Aid
   office.  Instructions and the form can be found on the Financial Aid Forms
   page of Eastern's website


   - If your financial aid has been suspended, you still have time to
   submit an appeal.  It can be found on the Financial Aid Forms page of
   Eastern's website.


   - Book charges begin July 26 - you must have enough financial aid to
   cover all your school costs plus the cost of the books in order to charge


   - McAlester's orientation is August 8; Wilburton's orientation is August
   9.


   - Evening classes begin August 9; daytime classes begin August 10.
