[Eoscstudents] Eastern launches new Single Sign-On Service for Email, Blackboard, Self Service and Navigate

Eastern is excited to announce improvements to the way students and
employees can access college-related technology services. Beginning today,
Eastern is moving to a Single Sign-On (SSO) service that allows users to
access multiple services without having to re-enter a separate login and
password for each.



Students and employees can now use their E-Key username and password to
access email, Blackboard, Navigate and Self Service. Your E-Key username is
your EOSC email address. Your password is the password associated with your
EOSC email address.



You will now find access to the services on Eastern’s website under “My
EOSC” located on the top-right corner of the website. You can access this
page anytime at eosc.edu/myEOSC <http://eosc.edu/myeosc>

*Activate your E-Key*Users who already use their EOSC email will not need
to activate their E-Key. It will already work. If you have *never* logged
into your EOSC email, you will need to activate your E-Key through Google
before the Single Sign-On service will work for other applications.

1.       Visit *google.com* <http://google.com/>

2.       Click on “Sign In” located at the top right corner of the screen

3.       Enter your EOSC Email (the same as your E-Key username)

4.       Select “Work or school account”

5.       Enter your E-Key password (default password is your birthdate in
the format MMDDYYYY)

6.       Check the box to “Stay Signed In,” then click “Yes.” Do this to
reduce the number of times you are asked to sign in.


*Having trouble logging in?*
You cannot use a personal Google GMail address to log in to these
applications. If you are attempting to sign in with a personal Google
account, your authentication attempt will fail with a "403 org_internal"
error. You must use your EOSC Email address and E-Key credentials. Please
check that you are signed in to your Google profile using your EOSC account
information and not your personal profile information.
