[Eoscstudents] 2022-2023 Choir and Band Participation

Hello EOSC Students,

We are now past the halfway point of the semester!  With that in mind, and
thinking about the next academic year 2022-2023, I would like to let you
know that the music department has a small fund each year to help Choir and
Band students with tuition and housing.  If you would like to be considered
for a tuition and/or housing award by participating in the band and/or
choir program next year please send me an email to set up an audition.  Our
final official audition day is the Friday after Spring Break, March 25.  To
register for this final official audition day please visit, eosc.edu/music
and fill out the form under Auditions.  If you would like to audition after
March 25 simply send me an email and we will schedule a time to meet.

For the non-music major audition I will need to hear:

   - you play on the instrument you will play in band or hear you sing a
   song of your choice
   - contrasting styles (fast and slow) are always beneficial to
   determine skill level, which in turn determines monetary awards

If you would like to major in music I will need to hear:

   - your major instrument or voice
   - your ability on the piano
   - you will also need to complete a theory placement test to determine
   your basic music theory knowledge

Our programs have seen a great deal of growth in the last year.  I would
love for you to be a part of the growing musical tradition at EOSC.
