 *OKLAHOMA MATH TUTORING CORPS*

The Oklahoma State Department of Education is seeking college students and
professors to serve as tutors for the Oklahoma Math Tutoring Corps, a
statewide initiative to provide virtual math tutoring for Oklahoma students
beginning September 2022. Up to 1,500 students in grades 7-9 will be
tutored three days per week for a 21-week period, and get this:



·         Tutors will be paid

·         Training will be provided

·         *Tutors do NOT need to be a mathematics major or certified to
teach mathematics*



*College Students:*

As a paid tutor, responsibilities include:

o   Complete 5 hours of training in September 2022

o   Provide 50 minutes of virtual tutoring 3 times per week for 9 weeks,
with the opportunity to continue in Spring 2023

o   Attend 3 coaching sessions for tutors in October and November

o   Regular email communication with the participating students, their
families, and other tutoring corps entities

o   Tutors will be paid $25 an hour for up to 38.5 hours



*Professors:*

  As a paid tutor, responsibilities include:

o   Complete 5 hours of training in September 2022

o   Provide 50 minutes of virtual tutoring 3 times per week for 9 weeks,
with the opportunity to continue in Spring 2023

o   Attend one coaching session for tutors in October and November

o   Regular email communication with the participating students, their
families, and other tutoring corps entities

o   Tutors will be paid $50 an hour for up to 36.5 hours
