Please be careful with your personal and school accounts. The latest
phishing scam uses AI-created tactics to compromise your accounts.

To find out more, you can search for the following:

"Gmail users targeted by AI-driven phishing attacks"

Be very careful if you start receiving notifications, allegedly from
Google, requesting account recovery approval. This is where the phishing
attack usually starts.

Always Be Skeptical.

Before you respond to a request, take a moment to check that the message is
legitimate.

NEVER send your personal or sensitive information through email.

This includes your passwords or other personal information.

Businesses should NEVER request personal information through email.

Verify a sender by moving your mouse over addresses to check the URL.

Be careful of links and attachments. Be especially cautious when opening
attachments or clicking links if you receive an email containing a warning
banner indicating that it originated from an external source.

Keep your antivirus software regularly updated.

Consider the following for your personal machines:
Windows Defender (included with Windows 10/11)
     XProtect (included with macOS)
Other antivirus software from any reputable vendor.

While Kaspersky is a good antivirus software, the Department of
Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security has banned it in the U.S. If you
use Kaspersky, your account should transition to an UltraAV account. Please
verify that your account has transitioned and that your AV is up-to-date.

Update your computer and software. Install the latest patches and updates
for your operating system and other software.

Delete the suspected email once it’s reported.

To learn more about phishing, visit the Federal Trade Commission and search
for the word phishing.
