In April 2026, Eastern will welcome a group of students from College360 for a week-long stay in Wilburton. Then in May 2026, a group of Eastern students will travel to Silkeborg for a week-long stay in Denmark. This Study Abroad Program will allow you to: - See the most popular sites to learn about the country's royal family, government structure, architecture, art, Viking history and more - Learn about the Danish culture and what makes the Danes rank among the world's most happy people - Meet students and stay with host families in Silkeborg to experience the Danish concept of *hygge * - Attend class with students at *College360* and learn about their educational and career paths - Earn credit for a Humanities requirement - Earn a microcredential in Global Studies *Application * Applications are now being accepted for Eastern students to participate in the Study Abroad Program. 1. To be *considered* for this study abroad trip, the *Study Abroad Application* must be completed in its entirety. 2. Ask two (2) current EOSC faculty/staff members to submit a letter of recommendation to accompany your application. The letters should be emailed directly from the faculty/staff members to Anne Brooks at *abrooks* *@eosc.edu *. 3. The online application and two (2) letters of recommendation must be submitted by *5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025.* 4. Students chosen to travel to Denmark will be responsible for covering the following estimated costs: o Approximately $2,000 for airfare/transportation, lodging, meals and entry fees for activities (final costs may be less depending on airfare and activity schedule). *Scholarships and fundraising opportunities will be available.* o Cost of securing a passport o Cost of taking a 3-credit hour humanities course HUMAN 2713 Global Humanities-Denmark in the Spring 2026 Semester 5. Applications are open to full-time and part-time students taking courses in Wilburton, McAlester, Idabel and Antlers. 6. Applications will be reviewed for consideration by a committee of faculty and staff.
