[Eoscstudents] May 1, 2026 Commencement Information

Dear Graduates,

Congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone! We are looking
forward to celebrating with you at Commencement on *Friday, May 1, at the
C.C. Dunlap Fieldhouse in Wilburton*.

*NOTE:* Graduation is the formal, academic act of completing all degree
requirements and receiving the degree, whereas the *commencement ceremony
is the ceremony held to honor students who have applied to graduate*.

*Arrival & Assembly Time: *

Please arrive *NO LATER* than *6:00 p.m.* for the ceremony at *6:30 p.m.*
There will be *one *commencement ceremony.

Please gather on the sidewalk behind the E.E. Tourtelotte Student Center
with your BLUE name card in hand. You will receive this card from the
Bookstore when you purchase your cap and gown.

Please *NEATLY PRINT* your *name*, *hometown,* and, *if you’re continuing
your education*, *where you’re transferring to*, on the *blue* card. This
information will be read as you cross the stage. If you don’t have your
card, Julie Lawrence will have extras available at line-up.

*Processional:*

– Ushers Phillip Hawthorne and Paul Wills will lead graduates following the
faculty.

*– Processional order: *(how you will line up for Commencement)

1.    Top ten percent of graduates

2.    Outstanding graduates of each division (not in the top ten percent)

3.    Phi Theta Kappa members (not in the top ten percent)

4.    Remainder of graduates

– Please maintain spacing and remain standing for the National Anthem.

*Conferring of Degrees:*

– President Harp and John Spradling will confer degrees.

– When directed, present your blue name card to Lacey Pitman or Ashley
Kernkamp, walk across the stage, take your photo, and return to your seat.

*Top 10% Recognition:  *

Please check the attached list to see if you’re included in the Top 10% of
the graduating class. If you believe your name is missing, please see
Sandra Robertson in the Registrar’s Office as soon as possible.

*Optional Walkthrough:*

We’ll hold a short walkthrough on Thursday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the
Fieldhouse. Attendance is optional, but helpful!
