Summer 2011...
The Guymon Technology Department has some major upgrades coming Summer 2011.
On the list so FAR increasing bandwidth, install/configure (Gradebook,
Student Information Tracker, Lunch Program), install cisco wireless network,
install/configure new internet filter, finish installing centralized
printers, basic computer maintenance/upgrades, and if we have time migrate
to a new email system.
This is what we need from YOU!!!
1. Backup your lesson plans in classroll or they will be lost...you can
copy/paste them into a WORD document.
2. Backup all of your files to an external device, that you need off of
your computer...we are reworking computers this summer and don't want to
lose your data.
3. Leave your computer "AS IS" (In other words do not dissemble your
computer) we need to go to all computers in the district for
maintenance/upgrades.
We are leaving classroll gradebook system and integrating our gradebook with
our student information/lunchroom system this summer. The integration will
also upgrade our current student information/lunch program with new
features/functions. Everybody will be required to attend training on the
new program for Gradebook/Lunch/Student Information. Training is scheduled
for Administration (Supt, Asst Supts, Supt Secretaries, Principles, Asst
Principles, Principles Secretaries, Directors, Directors Secretaries,
Registrars, Counselors, Technology, Food Services) on August 2, 2011 @8:00
a.m.- until we are done.
We have two teacher training scheduled as followed:
pre-k - 4 grade is scheduled for August 15, 2011 @12:30p.m. - 4:00p.m.
5-12 grade is scheduled for August 16, 2011 @8:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.
Yes that means all grade levels will have an online gradebook next year!!!!!
Thanks,
James Skelton
