John McGuiness makes a good point for Higher Ed users. E&I has a good
contract with Polycom and Tandberg which Higher Ed can purchase from.

I need to point out that the Regent's contracts with Polycom and
Tandberg have expired after 4 years of good service. I'd like to thank
WireOne, SKC and Designs That Compute for their good service during
these contracts.

At this time, the Regents Purchasing Office has been having
conversations with Tandberg and Polycom about enterprise agreements
similar to our Cisco, Sun, Nortel and other contracts. Nothing solid has
been put in place as yet, but I am hopeful.

I'd also like to acknowledge and thank the Regent's Purchasing Director,
MaryJo Linder for her years of hard work on these contracts. Since the
1996 legislation, MaryJo has worked non-stop to help provide good
contracts to help OneNet and it's clients.

I'm sorry to say that MaryJo will retire at the end of this month! While
I rejoice for her, I will be sad to see her go. I hope you will join me
in wishing her a Wonderful Retirement!
