[Hen] Paul McCarthy of Sprint to present at ODLA in November ODLA conference at OSU-Tulsa

Fellow EBS licensees, College CIOs and networking professionals;

The Future of EBS in Oklahoma is closely tied to the first large
deployment of WiMAX (Sprint - Clearwire) and use of ITFS or EBS licenses
assigned by the FCC to your schools and schools close to you, as well as
decisions made by Sprint Nextel and Clearwire. Even those of you who's
schools do not hold EBS licenses should be involved since the those who
do hold licenses in your area will be required by the FCC to provide
substantial educational services and your campus may well benefit from
those services.

Those EBS licenses must be PROVEN to be serving Oklahomans in a few
years or we could all lose out. Those services will be affected more by
Sprint than any other entity, and within Sprint, no one person may have
a greater impact on how they deploy services, what services they deploy,
and in which areas than a gentleman who will be speaking at the ODLA
conference in Tulsa 

I have just learned that Paul McCarthy of Sprint will be in Tulsa to
speak at the ODLA conference Nov 5-6! Paul is Director of  Spectrum
Management, Corporate Strategy and Business Development for Sprint and
Chair of WCA BRS/EBS Rules Change Task Force.

Chuck Cissel is the CEO of the Hall of Fame, and he plans to highlight
several area high-quality artists that, because of their talent, could
be on the precipice of regional, national and international celebrity
(the Carrie Underwoods just under the surface of notoriety).  

As a bonus for ODLA, Mr. Cissel has agreed to audition ODLA attendees to
add to the night's festivities.  To qualify you will have to audition,
either in person or through a recorded medium (cassette, CD, DVD).  Call
the above number if auditioning in person to schedule a day and time.  

Send your recorded audition to my address below and I will make sure Mr.
Cissel has it within a day.  Deadline for auditions is 5:00p.m., Friday,
October 26th.  Mr. Cissel will announce his decision the following week.
Just FYI, Mr. Cissel has several years experience in judging talent,
especially regional in nature, so the decision of the judge is
final.......and terrifying.
