Greetings to all green building and sustainability enthusiasts!

The Oklahoma Chapter of US Green Building Council is launching several statewide initiatives. You have an opportunity to become a part of this amazing awareness campaign. Your involvement is in your hands. Whatever time you can commit, we will find a place for you. Even if all you have is 1 hour a year, we have ways for you to make a difference. Whether you are interested in green building, sustainable development or energy efficiency, we'll have opportunities for you. In the spirit of collaboration we have already extended our outreach to such groups as Sustainable OKC, Sierra Club and Oklahoma Renewable Energy Council.

Benchmark Oklahoma initiative is holding its first meeting for all interested on

August 30, 2012 @ Café Cubana; 1340 East 15th Street, Tulsa, OK 74120; Tel: (918) 584-2233.

You will learn what Energy Star is and how basic energy knowledge transformed other states. Benchmarking is a good place to start for Oklahoma. For more information please contact Temur Akhmedov, LEED AP at (405) 229-9165.
