Hi, and I hope you are having a great start to the Fall semester!

In 25 days, our USGBC members will join thousands of individuals for what will be one of the largest global service events focused on making our schools and campuses healthier and more sustainable. As a USGBC community college member, your participation in the first annual Green Apple Day of Service<http://mygreenapple.org/main-nav/getinvolved.aspx> will allow you to publicly demonstrate your college’s leadership and commitment to better learning environments. More than 400 service activities are already on the map to take place on Sept. 29 for the event. Register for our 20 minute informational webcast<https://usgbc.webex.com/mw0306ld/mywebex/default.do?siteurl=usgbc&service=1> that will take place this Thursday, Sept. 6 at 2 pm, ET. We will discuss how community college members can successfully participate and make the most out of this event through support they receive from membership.

Also, if you haven’t already, please explore and provide feedback on our newly launched community college member resource page<http://centerforgreenschools.org/main-nav/membersonly/cgmember/cgmember_welcome.aspx>, which college members now receive access to in addition to USGBC website privileges. All members should also be connected to their Community Green Chair. These individuals serve as your direct point of contact with USGBC, and will help you navigate your member benefits.
