Please share with other faculty who might also be interested. I think
Oklahoma has a good possibility of accessing more NSF monies through this
opportunity. - Stacey

The National Science Foundation is encouraging proposals for:

Pilot Local Systemic Change Projects

A Pilot LSC is intended to build a foundation for systemic reform. In
particular, Pilot LSC's are expected to include substantial professional
development for participating teachers built around exemplary instructional
materials.

Pilot LSC's can be 2-3 years in length. They must include at least 15
teachers, each receiving at least 200 hours of teacher professional
development over the life of the project. The total budget request cannot
exceed $200,000.

Deadline for preliminary proposal is May 18,2001. Full proposals are due
September 10, 2001. Preliminary proposals are limited to 6 pages.
