Side note to CoIT members: November 17th conflicts with our CoIT
meeting, but the conference's IT-related content appears to be heavier
on the 18th, anyway. The conference does advertise one-day registrations
at a reduced price.

Looks like the first day is mostly ADA but the second day has

	All,

	 

	I am pleased to announce the Oklahoma Association on Higher
Education and Disability Fall Institute on November 17-18.  The OK-Ahead
Board is offering this Institute at a very low rate for anyone employed
by a post-secondary institution.  Our "Dear Colleague" theme addresses
the guidance from the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice about
post-secondary mandates for individuals with disabilities.  

	 

	Since we have an upcoming deadline for compliance with the 2010
ADA Standards for Accessible Design, we've devoted the entire first day
of the Institute to this topic with our presenters from the U.S. Access
Board.

	 

	Our second day is devoted to Information Technology
accessibility and emergency management for individual with disabilities.
These are other areas that have been targeted in the Dear Colleague
guidance.
