Yes, outgoing. We use exchange. The phishing attempts have been relentless here and a couple of our adjunct faculty just gave away their credentials. Our end goal is to avoid being blacklisted, again. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Dan Moore Southeastern -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... There was no additional cost for us either because we use the MS Campus Agreement also. Thanks, Dan -----Original Message----- From: Ricke, Craig [mailto:CARicke at nwosu.edu] Sent: Monday, February 20, 2012 9:24 AM To: Dan Moore Subject: RE: [ITpeers (CoIT)] SPAM Dan, We use Exchange Hosted Filtering from Microsoft. All email coming into and leaving campus is directed to Microsoft spam filters. If we have a computer that is sending spam, someone from Microsoft will disable mail from that account and give us a call. Of course it also blocks incoming spam as well. Its statistics show it is blocking about 95% of the mail before it ever hits our Exchange server. It has worked well for us and is included with our Campus Agreement. I'm looking for recommendations for companies/VARs that you've worked with in or around the Oklahoma City area that have full technical experience (soup-to-nuts) with migrating from Win2k DCs to Win2k8 DCs. If possible, I'd like to be able to purchase all the necessary hardware (i.e. new servers) from them as well, but that is not necessarily a requirement. We're primarily a Dell shop here, so VARs for Dell are preferable but I'd be willing to entertain the idea of other brand names for the servers. We're located in the town of Chickasha which is about 40 miles south of Oklahoma City. So preferably, I'd like to work with a company that's geographically close by to us. If you have any recommendations, please send email be their contact info.
