[ITpeers (CoIT)] Reminder - 2014 CoIT Award Nominations are Due April 22nd

Greetings Oklahoma IT Peers and CoIT members,

  I wanted to remind you that the 2014 CoIT recognition award nominations are due Tuesday, April 22nd (tomorrow). It's easy to submit a nomination, so please do so before tomorrow! This is a great chance to share your story among your peers. The CoIT awards are for IT professionals working within Oklahoma's institutions of Higher Education and will be presented at the upcoming 2014 CoIT Higher Ed Technology Summit  May 19th-20th. The CoIT nomination and awards committee would like to invite you to consider nominating a colleague and/or IT department in the award categories below. o   Innovative Cost Saving Measure Award

o   Above and Beyond Award

o   Hack Award (innovative fix)

o   Service Award (community oriented service engagement)

o   Pickle Award (challenging situation)

The Rules:
Eligibility: Award nominees must be employed by an institution or organization (including the network known as "Onenet") within or under the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as of January 1, 2014. Individual nominees must be employed in an IT or related staff position within the organization. Award categories that allow IT entire departments to be nominated must reside under the highest ranking campus IT officer (e.g. CoIT member).

Entry Period: Nominations are Due Tuesday, April 22nd.

Award Date: May 20th, 2014 at the 2014 Higher Ed IT Summit.

Entry Materials: Nominations may or may not be made public. Nominations are not anonymous. Nominations in at least one category per entry are required. Only one nomination entry per individual user is allowed (a user may make one nomination in each award category). Duplicate nominations are not allowed and will not increase the chances of being selected.

Authority: The CoIT nomination and awards committee reserves the right to establish, modify, and administer all aspects of the nomination and awarding process.

Prizes: No cash value or other tangle asset prizes will be awarded. The value of the awards are the intangible benefits of peer recognition among higher education IT professionals and the prestige of inspiring others. The award and nomination committee will encourage award recipients to attend the award presentation ceremony to be held at the 2014 Higher Ed Technology Summit.
