I told you I'd update you all when I talked to Donya. I talk to Donya a
lot, sometimes it's even about work.

You know how ELM offers the service to help map files, etc. to meet a
school's need? They're going to meet ours by defaulting in the
guarantor code on our
PLUS certification file so Katie won't have to put it in by hand.

Yes, Mary, the default guarantor code will be 740. That's what it is
now, it will just be automated for us.

If any of you send us PLUS certification requests that you do NOT intend
to have go through OGSLP, please let us know when you send the
certification (an email will do fine). I know sometimes a parent
borrower wants to go down a certain servicing path that might require a
different guarantor & that's fine--adjusting the guarantor code is easy
as long as we do it before we transmit the certification for guarantee.
Please notify Janet Stevens at jlwhite at ou.edu .

Oooppppssss....

Everyone can stop looking for where to input the guarantor code manually
on ELM.....Jeremy Cooper says the field isn't there. (I tried to look
before I emailed, really I did, but schools don't see that side.) Yes,
I've emailed Donya. I'll update everyone when I hear from her.

At ease. Smoke em if you got em (no, really,
don't....please...cough,cough). Have a good weekend and thanks for
putting up with me......

Subject: Missing Guarantor Codes in ELM PLUS Certifications

Attention, attention....

I need your help.

We're getting PLUS certification requests in ELM that do not have the
guarantor code in them.

Guarantor code is a required field on the Commonline 4 file (field #
73).

If it is missing, Katie has to manually load this code into the flat
file before loading the certification requests to our system.

Katie's nice, she'd keep doing this input until her fingers fell off
without complaining.

Jehan realized what she was having to do and why.

Jehan told me.

Now I'm telling you......put in the dadgum code.

It's Friday and I'm done.

That is all.
