Cherokee Main Street is a community effort to preserve and promote the heart
of the community, which is our downtown.  Together, we unify the downtown
historic district by creating an attractive destination in which businesses
prosper, the community benefits, and residents and visitors enjoy a quality

    Mission Statement

cultural heritage of Sapulpa, and to improve the quality of life by
revitalizing the Central Business District as the center of the Community.

Hello!  There have been some Main Street changes... 

 

Please welcome - 

Lynna Wilmes at Main Street Altus

Keri Fitts at Collinsville Downtown Inc.  (Most of you know Keri.  Keri was
interim for a bit, but now she is THE Director)

Jami Hale at Tahlequah Main Street

and....

Jessica Jackson is now at Kendall Whittier

 

We have vacancies at Claremore Main Street, McAlester Main Street
Association, Stockyards City Main Street, and Tulsa Route 66 Main Street.  I
will let you know when we have any news regarding these programs.

 

There is a fantastic session at the Main Street Now Conference (link below)
that is a must for new directors -   

                Main Street 101

                Date: Sunday, March 24th

Time: 12:00 - 5:00pm

Location: Elwha A, 5th Floor

Description: The Main Street America Field Services team will provide an
overview of the Main Street Approach, highlighting the importance of
engaging the community in revitalization planning, developing a set of
district-specific strategies, implemented through work across the Four
Points, and tracking and communicating meaningful impact measures. 

12:00 - 1:15pm - Intro to Main Street and Organization Point 

1:30 - 2:30pm - Design 

2:45 - 3:45 pm - Economic Vitality 

4:00 - 5:00pm - Promotion (Each presentation will be followed by a 15 minute
break)
