Good afternoon Main Street.

 

The Oklahoma Main Street Center and Main Street Enid are hosting a two day
workshop - Upper Floor Housing Education  - in Enid, OK on June 15th and
16th.  The sessions are designed to provide information on creating a
successful upper floor housing renovation project.  This workshop is not
mandatory, but all are welcome.  This will go on social media soon, and we
wanted you to know first so you can take advantage of the room block if you
choose.  Here is the basic agenda:

 

Tuesday, June 15th

1:00 - 1:45: Welcome and Opening  

1:45 - 2:15: Why Upper Floor Housing

2:15 - 2:45: Codes, Fire Marshall and Egress

2:45 - 3:00: Break

3:00 - 3:30: Property Management and Air B&B

3:30 - 4:00: Legal Issues

4:00 - 5:00: Panel Discussion and Q&A

5:30 - 7:00: Reception

7:00 -          : Brewery Tour

              

Wednesday, June 16th

8:30   -   9:00: Welcome

9:00  -  10:00: Financial/Banking, Historic Tax Credits and National
Register of Historic Places

10:00 - 11:00: Case Study Enid and Pro Forma

11:00 - 12: 00: Upper Floor Tour

 

The room block is with the downtown Enid Glo Best Western (flyer attached),
and there are only 25 rooms.  It is Best Western's policy that all room
blocks close 30 days in advance, so you only have until May 15 to secure
your room at the $139 price.  After that rooms will increase to $169.  The
rooms can't be reserved online, so you must call the hotel to make the
reservation.
