We're thrilled to share the news that our sister organization, The Independent Retail Community Initiative (IRCI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is launching its first round of grants in partnership with ISA.
The Pop-Out Grants focus on helping shopkeepers like you improve your communities, districts and neighborhoods (something many of you already do). IRCI was founded on the belief that independent retail plays a vital role in shaping our communities and neighborhoods. And we want to make it easier for local shops to continue the amazing work you do in making our cities a better place to live, work and shop. The Pop-Out Grants will help fund some of your ideas as you take on new projects to strengthen your community.

Whether you want to install a bench on your street, work with an artist to paint a mural or partner with a non-profit to put on an event benefiting those in need, the Pop-Out Grant is here to help you achieve these goals.
What kind of ideas can the Pop-Out Grant help fund?

We know shopkeepers are creative by nature and will come up with many more ideas than we can, but here are some examples:

  *   Install a bench in your neighborhood
  *   Paint a mural or public art piece
  *   Install wayfinding signage in your district
  *   Host a school supply drive
  *   Host an event for your local Boys & Girls club or other non-profit benefiting those in need.
  *   Plant trees and bushes in your neighborhood
The sky's the limit! We’re open to all projects, big and small, that will help improve your neighborhood, district and community.
We can’t wait to see all the out of-the-box ideas you come up with!
