Sarah,

The way our account explained it to me is that if NMS is purchasing items
for resale, vendors do not charge sales tax because we charge sales tax
when selling. If we are purchasing items not for resale, vendors will
charge sales tax on those items. So things like office supplies are taxable
but if we are purchasing t-shirts for a fundraiser, we are *not* charged
sales tax. Hope this helps!
