Hi Main Street!

Thank you for being on the call yesterday and for your willingness to help with the conference.

Here are the main committees and a few special events -
Education helps develop the theme and session tracks for the conference and works with MSA and OMSC to select sessions that focus on those themes.  Attached are the themes and tracks from three past conferences.
Fundraising is exactly as it sounds.  The base funding is secure, but additional money will help to make the conference better.
Mobile Workshops committee will help communities develop half and full day tours that fit the theme of the conference.  Mobile Workshop submissions will be reviewed and selected by the committee, MSA and OMSC.  There will be a total of 18 - 20 workshops - some half-day and some full-day.
                For those wanting to create a mobile workshop, Steve Amraen will set up a zoom call to explain the process to everyone.
Special Events will help plan the various events at the conference.  The names next to the event are the team lead but will need more people.  Events with a blank need a lead and committee members.  *Some of the events seem simple and I think are completely handled by MSA - I could be wrong.

Volunteers help find between 60-70 people to help with the conference, creates the volunteer t-shirt, manages scheduling using VolunteerLocal, and keeps the volunteer lounge stocked.  Savvy Tulsa will be part of the volunteer base.

Oklahoma Film and Music and Visit Tulsa will help find bands and professional talent for the various events.

You don't need to decide immediately, and we will break into committees at our first planning meeting during the June ED/Volunteer training in Muskogee on Thursday 06.12, 11:00-12:00.  Also, each committee/special event will have a monthly meeting via zoom that includes the committee, MSA lead and OMSC.  Feel free to invite others from your community if they want to help.
