[MainstreetManagers] REquest: Insurance ideas

This may have been my question - or another new member :)
We have halted car "cruises" due to insurance issues. We have made parade
"adjustments" that do not go over well, again due to insurance issues and
the "candy" throwing really became an issue that makes my head spin like a
pinata. We are all going to "insure" we never have fun again at this
point! LOL
So, my questions are:
1. There's got to be a good underwriter that understands the small town
event. I'm in Duncan, OK - I'll go outside the boundaries or find a good
broker here for the right price.
2. The umbrella style coverage is a bit confusing to me, but I'm
interested in learning more so we can scale our events.
3. Does anyone include a 'weather rider' with their events? I know folks
who do music festivals and this is part of the insurance policy as a
standard practice in some cases.
