[MainstreetTowns] Plan Your Fun in Durant!

Good evening, Main Streeters!

Durant is looking forward to hosting you next week for the Oklahoma Main Street training! We have lots of entertaining activities happening while you’re in town, some which require you to pre-register, so I’m here to help you devise a plan for maximum fun. (I know this is Ed’s job, but I’m trying to do my part!)

Attached you will find a flyer for Tuesday night’s Live Local Night Out. In addition to food trucks and live music, there are several classes from which to choose (ballroom dancing lessons, DIY glass blown Christmas ornament class, or DIY wood Oklahoma sign class). You will need to pre-register for your choice of class by Sunday night if you’d like to participate. The glass blown Christmas ornament class if very popular, so I’ve reserved a private class for our group because they typically fill very quickly.

On Wednesday morning, we have a couple of fitness options. You can choose between yoga or a free guided walk along our 0.5 mile downtown trail. 

At the reception Wednesday evening, a local artist will be on site doing custom sketches of your downtown landmarks. If you’d like to purchase a sketch, please bring a photo of the downtown landmark you wish for him to draw. These make great postcards, stationary, and office decor!

During our morning break on Thursday, a local photographer will be offering free headshots for attendees. Dress to impress!
