This event is so meaningful for bringing our individual communities together, but also showing the power of the Main Street movement collectively to State officials. To think, we almost didn't have it this year... great save, Buffy and team! Congrats to all the finalists (and to the authors who spent hours writing those nominations)! Without it, you are still in the Top group....just not up for Program of the Year. We have had some in the past that chose not to participate in the essay portion. It is completely up to you and your board. I should have addressed that yesterday. We have been asked in the past as to how that process has changed (not just points alone anymore) so we felt inclined to include it in the release to the public. Sorry for the dupe for most of you. From: Kelli Yadon Sent: Wednesday, March 07, 2018 10:13 AM To: 'mainstreettowns at lists.onenet.net' Subject: 2018 Main Street Banquet invites and other information Gooood morning! Attached is the email version(s) of the invitation to the Annual Main Street Awards Banquet scheduled to be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Downtown OKC Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. The theme this year is "Main Street: Where Everybody Knows Your Name" - and was graciously provided by Main Street Altus! Thank you so much! Your printed invitations will be in the mail today. Also attached is the RSVP spreadsheet. Please use this form to submit the names of your attendees to Okmulgee Main Street. The following are suggestions for potential invitees: * Yourself and your spouse or significant other * VIPs in city government (mayor, city manager, city councilors) * Award nominees from your community * Board members, committee chairs and volunteers Please be sure to invite your legislators. Work with any towns that share your legislators to ensure you are not paying for them twice. If something happens at the last minute, and they cannot make the banquet, you may bring someone else in their place. We are often asked whether you are responsible for paying for their spouse (and/or children) and that is your decision. The RSVP deadline to your local community is April 20th. Please make checks payable to: Okmulgee Main Street P.O. Box 455 Okmulgee, OK 74447 The RSVP spreadsheet and money are due to Okmulgee Main Street by April 27, 2018. A letter with this information is included in the packet of invitations most of you will be receiving in the next day or so. Feel free to contact Kelli or Tamara at the Oklahoma Main Street Center at 405.815.6552 with any questions or if you need additional invitations. kel Kelli S Yadon Oklahoma Main Street Center 900 North Stiles Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73104 P: 405.815.5379 C: 405.778.9375 [MSALOGO_17COPROGRAM_CMYK] -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
