When I was in Guymon last week, a person received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award. They received a certificate signed by the President and I believe Melyn ordered a pin for him to wear. I thought it was so cool that I wanted to share the information on how to do the awards in your own communities. I also want to point out one thing Melyn told me; not to make it as something you give to everyone. It is a true honor to receive the award. Here are some standouts that I saw and below that is the website for you to check out.
There are multiple levels for different ages:
BRONZE SILVER GOLD
Kids (5-10) 26-49hrs 50-74hrs 75+hrs
Teens (11-15) 50-74hrs 75-99hrs 100+hrs
Young Adults (16-25) 100-174hrs 175-249hrs 250+hrs
Adults (26 and older) 100-249hrs 250-499hrs 500+hrs
Families/Groups 200-499hrs 500-999hrs 1,000+hrs
PRESIDENT'S LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: Individuals who have completed 4,000 or more hours in their lifetime.
Here is the link and if you have any questions, I'm sure Melyn will be happy to answer: https://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/
