FUNDING


1.       Grants for Arts Projects
The National Endowment for the Arts is offering grants ranging between $10,000 and $100,000 through its Grants for Arts Projects funding category. The category replaces the Endowment's Art Works funding category. 2.       Economic Opportunity Challenge
Through the Economic Opportunity Challenge, proposals for improving economic opportunity, security, and/or mobility for individuals in the United States may earn grants of $100,000. A $10 million grant will be awarded to one finalist to scale their proposed solution aimed at improving financial health of low-income families. The aim of the challenge is to build a more vibrant economic ecosystem through impactful, evidence-based solutions. 3.       Rural LISC
(Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation) created the Community Facilities Fund to provide capital to help develop and improve essential community facilities in rural areas. Rural LISC utilizes this fund to provide permanent and construction-to-permanent financing for rural community facilities, including health care centers, hospitals, educational facilities, and other nonprofit and public facilities in rural communities with populations under 20,000. 4.       Water & Waste Disposal Loan & Grant Program
USDA Rural Development provides funding for clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage to households and businesses in eligible rural areas. 5.       STEP Grant- Small Business Grant for Exporting
Promoting your company at trade shows can be an effective way to gain recognition in your industry and enter into the global market or expand your international trade capabilities. However, not every small business is in the position to coordinate trade show logistics, operate their own trade booth or afford an individual booth. The Oklahoma Department of Commerce makes it possible for Oklahoma companies to partner with the state at trade shows across the globe. With the help of the Oklahoma STEP Fund, qualified companies can get reimbursed for 75% of the participation cost, including the 2020 Farnborough International Airshow. 6.       Oklahoma Arts and the Military Grant
The new grant program is designed to empower both arts and service nonprofit organizations, city, county and tribal governments, colleges and universities, and public libraries to serve members of Oklahoma's military community through the arts. 7.       Biorefinery, Renewable Chemical, and Bio-based Products Manufacturing Assistance Program
USDA Rural Development provides loan guarantees to help develop, construct, or retrofit commercial-scale biorefineries and to develop renewable chemicals and bio-based product manufacturing facilities. 8.       Bureau of Indian Affairs
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is offering federal-wide resources to Tribes to build capacity and resilience through leadership engagement, delivery of data and tools, training and tribal capacity building. 9.       Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program
The U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, Bureau of Justice Assistance, is seeking applications for funding under the Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program. This program furthers the Department's mission by supporting and assisting county, local, territorial, and tribal jurisdictions in improving efforts to reduce violent crime in and around schools. 10.    The Value-Added Producer Grant
USDA Rural Development offers two types of grants, Planning and Working Capital, to help agricultural producers enter into value-added activities related to the processing and marketing of new products. 11.    HHS-SAMHSA: Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion
SAMHSA is accepting applications for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) Expansion Grants (CCBHC Expansion Grants). The purpose of this program is to increase access to, and improve the quality of community mental and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services through the expansion of CCBHCs. SAMHSA expects that this program will provide comprehensive 24/7 access to community-based mental and SUD services; treatment of co-occurring disorders; and physical healthcare in one single location. 12.    ReConnect Pilot Program
The USDA's Broadband ReConnect Program furnishes loans and grants to provide funds for the costs of construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service in eligible rural areas. 13.    Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program
USDA is offering funding through The Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program which supports education, mentoring, and technical assistance initiatives to help beginning farmers and ranchers with entering, establishing, building, and managing successful farm and ranch enterprises. 14.    Agriculture Innovation Demonstration Center Grants
USDA Rural Development provides grants to establish and operate Agricultural Innovation Centers that will provide technical assistance to help rural businesses market value-added agricultural products. 15.    Rural Business Development
USDA is offering Rural Business Development Grants to provide technical assistance and training for small rural businesses. Small means that the business has fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue.  Deadline: March 31. 16.    Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)
USDA Rural Development provides funding to support agricultural producers and rural small businesses to reduce energy costs and consumption by purchasing and installing renewable energy systems and making energy efficiency improvements in their operations. 17.    Challenge America Grant Program
The Challenge America grant program of the National Endowment for the Arts provides $10,000 in support of projects presented by small and mid-sized organizations. The goal of the Challenge America program is to extend the reach of the arts to populations the have limited access to the arts due to geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, units of local government, school districts, and federally recognized tribes. Deadline: April 9. 18.    Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Implementation
Successful RCORP-Implementation award recipients will receive $1 million for a three-year period of performance to enhance and expand substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), service delivery in high-risk rural communities. Award recipients will implement a set of core SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery activities that align with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Five-Point Strategy to Combat the Opioid Crisis. 19.    Rural Health Care Connect Fund
Universal Service Administrative Company provides assistance to healthcare providers for eligible expenses related to broadband connectivity at a flat discounted rate of 65 percent. 1.       New Resource Available for Oklahoma Route 66 Communities
the Oklahoma Arts Council has created a new resource for Route 66 communities. In "Route 66: Grants and Resources for the Mother Road," the Oklahoma Arts Council explains the inseparable connection between the arts and Route 66, detailing several agency programs available to help stakeholders along the highway benefit from the arts' role in its legacy. 2.       American Airlines Donates Passenger Jet to Oklahoma Students

CareerTech will put the MD-80 to use training students for aviation careers. It's a major donation to the state's vocational-technical education system, which is working with lawmakers and industry leaders to bolster Oklahoma's output of aerospace workers. 3.       Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and Bell Announce Agreement as part of the FAA UASIPP

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) and Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, announced an agreement to add Bell to the CNO UASIPP team and begin testing some of the Bell innovations and systems on CNO-owned property in rural southeastern Oklahoma. 1.       Cornerstone Conversations

Two February and three March stops have been added to the schedule of Oklahoma Arts Council community visits for its Cornerstone Conversations tour across the state. Residents in the Weatherford and Idabel areas are invited to participate. Cornerstone Conversations sessions are presented with local partners. Activities include individual and group exercises and discussion. Attendees are given opportunity to provide written feedback. 2.       2020 National Interagency Community Reinvestment Conference

The event brings together community development leaders, practitioners, investors, and policymakers for four days of learning sessions and networking. 3.       Expanding the Intelligent Community Extension Program

6.       The Impact of Volunteers on Sustainable Rural Community Development

Present the role and impact of festival volunteers on sustainable rural community development. The project conducted surveys to about 400 volunteers in 12 rural festivals in Iowa, Michigan, and Kansas between fall 2018 and fall 2019. Findings will portray the current opportunities and challenges of managing volunteers in rural festivals and provide a feasible and practicable perspective for developing a volunteer training program.
