The Oklahoma Main Street Center is offering our second Board Member Boot Camp,

May 6th, in the historic Stockyards City Main Street in Oklahoma City!

All Main Street board members need basic information to carry out their duties as overseers of state-chartered nonprofit organizations. Yearly board turnover is a fact for most local Main Street programs. New board members arrive each year, some with plenty of nonprofit board experience, some with none.

Main Street programs rely on a working board and highly functioning volunteer committees which may be different than other non-profit experiences members have.

Topics of note will include (but not limited to):

  *   Grants - things to think about when applying, accepting and closing out.
  *   The Art of MOUs - creating and keeping your end of the deal as a nonprofit
  *   Succession Planning - who's taking the baton when you leave?
  *   Organizational Health - who has access to your information?
