Subject: [Nclb] 2004 NCLB RFP

There has been some confusion about the availability of funding for the
2004 No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part A grant program (formerly
IKE).   This grant program is federally funded so there should be funds
available for 2004 teacher professional development projects.

My hope is to have the RFP ready by mid-August and the deadline for
proposal submission around October 31.  None of these dates are final
but I wanted you to be aware that the program is still funded.   You
also may want to begin planning and developing partnerships for the next
round of proposals.
