Good morning OACRAO! American Sign Language is recognized and accepted
to meet a foreign language requirement and dates back to legislative
intent some years ago. State System institutions recognize it as
foreign language credit.

Subject: [Oacrao-l] American Sign Language

We are interested as to whether or not your institution offers classes
in ASL and if so if you allow it to meet the foreign language
requirement in your degree program.

Thanks,
