Rose State College also requires ACT/SAT, COMPASS placement scores or college coursework to clear remediation before enrollment.

Cameron would also require the ACT scores before enrollment in English, math or science.

At Southeastern, Non-Degree (9 hr) students cannot take English, math, science, or history/govt courses without providing ACT or other academic records to clear remediation in those areas.

Subject: [Oacrao-l] Non-Degree Student Taking Core Class

Hello All!

Does anyone allow a non-degree seeking student to enroll in an English, math or science course without providing ACT scores? Regent's policy states that non-degree seeking students may be permitted to enroll in no more than 9 credit hours without submitting academic credentials or meeting the academic curricular or performance requirements of the institution. We have been requiring ACT scores for placement in a college level English, math or science course for non-degree seeking students but it seems a little contradictory.

Thanks,
