[Oacrao-l] PLA or Extra Institutional Credit Fee

According to UCO’s Testing Services Department, UCO charges the following:

On departmental exams there is a fee of $35.00 per credit hour.  The company we use to register the tests charges a fee of $3.50 per test.  Therefore, a test that is 1 credit hour would cost $35.00 plus $3.50 processing fee, for a total of $38.50.  A 2 credit hour exam would be $70.00 plus $3.50 processing fee for a total of $73.50.  A 3 credit hour exam would be $105.00 plus $3.50 for a total of $108.50 and so on.

In addition, UCO offers students the opportunity to receive credit through prior learning assessment via CAEL.  We offer a portfolio course (3 credit hours), taught by CAEL instructors.  The course covers how to prepare a portfolio for submission and also includes a portfolio assessment (by CAEL):  Cost $650.  This is CAEL’s cost.  Any additional portfolios submitted to CAEL costs $125 for each course.  UCO does not charge any  fees for this type of PLA other than the fees charged by CAEL.
