[Oacrao-l] Recently discovered old credit for current student: What would you do?

We would absolutely combine the two records.  We have this happen periodically as we went to our new student system in 1994; every once in a while someone comes back and the admitting office forgets to tell us there is an additional record out there.  We always combine the two - this should be an accurate record of all work done at the institution.

Greeting, all.

Say you have a student that graduated with a bachelors degree from your school.   Then applied to the graduate program at your school.    During that application process for the graduate program, it's discovered that the student had previously completed coursework under a different ID, and slightly different name.   This course work was completed 10 years prior to being readmitted to the bachelors degree (i.e., right out of high school).     And, of course, the grade was an F.

Would you post the old course?    I'm looking for an interesting discussion on this one.
