They did this so the information would be readily accessible in one place instead of the students trying to get in touch with the different places in states to request records. The company will search through state archives to find the records and enter them into their database and send the person who requested the records one copy of their GED transcript once their records have been located. Not all states have this service but in Oklahoma this is where one would request information. Also, when a new test taker passes their HSE they are required to log into the system and provide their ID number not their social security number to request a free copy of their diploma and transcript. Subsequent copies must be purchased. In the past, the diplomas would automatically be sent to the address that the person registered with and many would be returned to the state because of bad addresses. The new system has cut down on how many diplomas have been returned to the company. The website that we give students who have taken the HSE is listed below. www.diplomasender.com I hope this helps! Given that SAT does not have a science section and there is very limited data on the new SAT, it would be very difficult to establish statewide requisite SAT subject scores for science course placement. Thus, the Council on Instruction Assessment committee recently concluded that the manner in which SAT subject scores are utilized for concurrent enrollment science course placement (and non-concurrent enrollment science course placement) will be at the discretion of the institution. Please let me know if you have any questions. If the student scores an grade of "C" or higher the respective letter grade is posted to their transcript along with the credits for the course. If the student does not pass the exam a grade of "NP" is posted (GPA neutral) and no credit is earned. We are considering moving to having the grading method change to being a pass/no pass so that the resulting grade is GPA neutral regardless of their results. For those of you who offer comprehensive exams for courses in lieu of completing the actual course, do you award a letter grade or is the result posted as pass/no pass?
