At Southeastern, we email Notice/Probation/Suspension letters to the student.  We started this about a year ago and haven't had any problems.

What is everyone doing when a student is placed on Academic Probation or Suspension to notify them? Currently, we are only mailing letters but we are curious if anyone has moved to a better way of communicating this to their students. Text or e-mail maybe? I couldn't find anything in Regents Policy or Procedures indicating a required format of communication for this.
