I have a quick question regarding your transcript requirements for application to your graduate programs. When a student applies to one of your graduate programs, do you require him or her to submit transcripts from all universities attended (including ones for a summer class taken at a community college back home that they transferred toward their bachelor degree)? Below is a summary of the transcript policy for graduate applicants. During the application review process The Office of Graduate Admissions requires that applicants submit an unofficial or official transcript from the last college or university where they earned a degree (bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral). Our application allows students to upload their transcripts and we strongly encourage them to do so since it expedites the application review process. Applicants are required to list their complete academic history on the application, and may upload transcripts from all institutions listed even though we only require a transcript from the last school where a degree was earned. Applicants typically upload a PDF or photocopy of an official transcript. Uploaded transcripts are considered unofficial because they come from the applicant and not the issuing college or university. If we receive an official transcript from the issuing school or an accepted electronic transcript service (Parchment, Clearinghouse, eScript, etc.) then we upload it to the application file and mark it as official. While we accept unofficial transcripts, we are very careful about the transcripts we use for evaluation. Unofficial transcripts must clearly identify the student and the university. Advisory documents are not accepted. If unofficial transcript is not legible, does not identify student and school or we question its authenticity, then we ask for an official transcript. After Admission Admitted students must submit official, final transcripts from all colleges or universities where a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree was earned.
