[Oacrao-l] OACRAO Spring Policy Workshop Information

I would be interested to know how you all are re-wording transfer policies in your course catalogs.  Right now we have exactly what the OSRHE handbook states in 3.11.3 B but it specifically states a difference in the application of credit from regionally accredited institutions vs. nationally accredited.  Will the difference in application of credit still apply after July and the only change is that we have to collect transcripts from nationally accredited schools? Or are we also going to have to accept all credit from nationally accredited schools after July?  We are working on our 20-21 catalog now and I have no idea how or if I should re-word this section.

Hi Charlie,

I reached out to Kyle last week in reference to the accreditation portion and he said to his knowledge it is still going into effect in July. So it sounds like we will have to accept transcripts from any school that has a national accreditation going forward this Summer/Fall.

Hopefully this helps with part of it.

My office of Academic Affairs would like to know what other instituions are doing about these two new Federal Regulations.  I will be honest and say we haven't done anything at this point.  Does anyone have any good suggestions?
