[Oacrao-l] Transfer Work Policy

Hi Charlie,

ORU used to have a max, 98 for a 4-year and 72 for a 2-year, we just eliminated that this academic year. It was decided that the original intent of the policy was to make sure enough hours were taken at ORU. We have another policy stating that at least 30 hours must be taken at our institution, so we felt the maximum transfer hours was redundant, and removed it.

CAUTION: THIS EMAIL ORIGINATED FROM OUTSIDE OF ORU
OCU has had in our catalog for years that a student can transfer in a limit of 84 hours with a maximum of 68 hours from two-year college-level institutions.

I have tried to compare other institutions and I don't see any policies like this.  I can find the reverse, 30 hours are required from the current institution for a degree.

Does anyone have a restriction on the hours to transfer in?

We are specifically looking at two-year institutions. Since some now can grant a bachelor's degree, this seems obsolete.
