When you are putting together your academic calendar, how do decide your class start and end times to ensure you are meeting the 800 instructional minutes per credit hour? Do you use the example in the OSRHE Policy and Procedures Manual of 50 minutes per week for 16 weeks (800/16)? Or do you count the exact total number of days a class will meet and divide 800 instructional minutes per credit hour by that total number of days? And what role does final exam play in your calculations?
