I've spoken with Marcia today. Jimmy remains in critical condition. He
was having a procedure done this morning to check his heart. Because
all his internal organs went into shock when he coded, he is being
checked by heart, kidney and lung specialists. His kidneys are not
functioning at this time, but the doctor says that Jimmy is a strong,
healthy young man and he is optimistic for a full recovery. They are
still keeping Jimmy sedated and he is in the Critical Care Unit of the
United Regional Hospital, the 11th Street Campus, in Wichita Falls,
Texas.
I have communicated with the hospital about the patient email problem.
A very nice gentleman, Dwayne Palmer has just gotten back with me about
the problem. He told me that the patient email page has had ongoing
problems, but he would be happy to forward emails to the hospital
volunteers for us. You can address the email to dpalmer at urhcs.org and
put "email for a patient" in the subject line and he will forward the
email messages to the volunteers that distribute the patient email. To
ensure that the emails get to Jimmy, use James Carter for the patient
name and be sure to note that he is in the Critical Care Unit of the
11th Street Campus. Please continue to remember Jimmy, Marcia, and Jim
in your prayers.
