ED to Provide Online Pell Grant Training 

 

In February, the Department of Education (ED) will provide online
information and training for schools regarding implementation of
year-round federal Pell Grants. The Higher Education Opportunity Act
(HEOA) authorizes schools to disburse up to two Pell Grants for the
2009-2010 award year, a change published in the Federal Register on
October 29, 2009

Federal Student Aid staff will present two 90-minute training sessions
on the revised Pell Grant program - one for term-based schools, and
another for clock-hour/non-term schools. These webinars will be offered
on the following dates:

 

	Year-Round Pell Grant Webinar for Term-Based Schools:

		Monday, February 8, 2010, 12:30 PM (CST)
	*	
		Friday, February 19, 2010, 12:30 PM (CST)
	*	
		Friday, February 26, 2010, 12:30 PM (CST)

	 

	Year-Round Pell Grant Webinar for Clock-Hour/Non-Term Schools:

		Friday, February 12, 2010, 12:30 PM (CST)
	*	
		Monday, February 22, 2010, 12:30 PM (CST)
