[Oasfaa] THIS WEEKEND - Direct Loan Consolidation System and Website Down - THIS WEEKEND

On January 7, 2011, ED announced that the DL Consolidation System and
Website would take advantage of the long federal holiday weekend
(Monday, Jan 17 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and be down beginning
Friday, January 14th at 6pm ET through Monday, Jan 17th at 8:00am ET.

 

This means that any student that needs to consolidate his/her loans (for
personal preference, public service loan forgiveness, default
resolution, etc.) will not be able to submit his/her application this
weekend.

 

The interactive voice response system at the DL Consolidation Center
will be unavailable during this time as well.
