[Oasfaa] Distinguished Partner Award nominations

All, the OASFAA Advisory Committee is currently soliciting nominations for the Distinguished Service Award.  Presentation of the award will be made at the Spring OASFAA conference.  As a reminder, the conference is being held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, April 13th, 14th, and 15th.  Registration is currently open at www.oasfaaok.com<http://www.oasfaaok.com>.

The Distinguished Service Award "is intended to recognize a practicing student financial aid professional at an institution. He/she should have contributed unique and long lasting efforts to the association, the profession, or the cause of financial aid in Oklahoma" (OASFAA Policies and Procedure Manual<http://www.oasfaaok.com/inside/archive.php>, page 26.)

There are several stipulations to the award:  1) Nominations must be made by active members and must be supported by two other members of the association. 2) Only active members of the association are eligible for nomination.  3)  No current member of the Advisory Committee or voting member of the Board of Directors is eligible for the award.

The current members of the Advisory Committee are Audra Main (University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center), Cathy Bird (Oklahoma State University), Angie Rice (University of Central Oklahoma), Diana Lee (Southern Nazarene University), David Fisher (Northeastern Oklahoma A&M), Myrna Cross (Western Oklahoma State College), Michelle Patterson (Brown Mackie College), Tami Garcia (Tri County Technology Center), Michelle Ketcherside (High Plains Technology Center), David Barron (Rogers State University), and myself.

If nominations are received that meet the guidelines, they will be evaluated by the Advisory Committee and recommended accordingly to the OASFAA Board of Directors.
