The 2012 SWASFAA Conference: Come Together, Leave Stronger will open for registration in the next two weeks. Listserv emails will go out once it's open. In the mean time, here's some information about this year's conference. We hope to see you there!

CONFERENCE INFO: This year, the 2012 SWASFAA Conference will be held is historic San Antonio, Texas! Our theme this year is Come Together, Leave Stronger. We all know networking and reaching out to colleagues for best practices only makes us better at our jobs, so our focus this year is providing opportunities to do just that. Along with traditional session offerings, we will also have school panels this year to discuss hot topics like R2T4  and verification so you can ask questions and learn how schools throughout the region are administering these programs. So truly, if you come to the conference you will leave stronger and better equipped to administer programs and assist your students. In addition, trainers from NASFAA and the Department of Education will be offering sessions as well!

REGISTRATION:  Registration for the conference will be opening in the next two weeks! Early bird registration runs through October 19, 2012. Cost to register is $250. Late registration begins October 20, 2012. Cost for late registration is $300.

ATTIRE: Casual! This year relax at the lovely Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort by coming in casual attire (yes, jeans and school shirts are fine even for presenters). Weather in San Antonio is quite fine during November with most highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s (although this is Texas so it could always be warmer or colder!).

HOTEL INFO: The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort is beautiful and offers a luxurious spa, a 27 hole championship golf course and offers many dining options.
