Late yesterday afternoon, the following message regarding the new SAP
requirements was sent to all current OKPromise college students. You
may have received some questions today regarding this message. There is
also access through our website at www.okpromise.org (look for the
yellow button).
The message was sent by phone, text and/or email to all current
OKPromise college students for which we have current contact
information. We do not have current contact information on many of our
students and therefore were not able to notify everyone. If you have a
way to contact OKPromise students specifically (maybe an email list), we
would appreciate you passing this information on to them.
If you have any questions, please let us know.

Subject: OK Promise College Students--New Requirements
A message from OKLAHOMA STATE REGENTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
Hi,
This is Oklahoma's Promise, the college tuition scholarship program
provided through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
We wanted to make you aware of an upcoming change to the Oklahoma's
Promise program.
Beginning in the 2012-13 school year, all Oklahoma's Promise students in
college must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
set by the college. If you become ineligible for federal financial aid
(like Pell grants or student loans) for failure to make SAP, you will
also not receive Oklahoma's Promise. This requirement applies to all
Oklahoma's Promise students, even if the student is not currently
receiving federal financial aid and regardless of the year the student
started college. The SAP requirements include minimum GPA standards and
minimum standards for completing courses in which the student enrolls.
If you are not familiar with the SAP requirements at your college or you
have specific questions, please contact the financial aid office for
more details.

.
Sincerely,
Oklahoma's Promise
